Meet the team – Jaana and François
Jaana and François joined the Paptic team in the summer, and it already feels like they have been working with us for longer. But who are these two flexible packaging specialists?
François Duchêne, Application Specialist – Flexible Packaging
François is our new flexible packaging application specialist with over eight years of working experience in various areas of flexible packaging value chain. For half of his career, he focused on optimizing converting processes. In the other half, prior to joining Paptic, he worked in Research and Development, overseeing the development projects for packaging in culinary key accounts.

In his leisure time, François enjoys spending time with friends and family. He has been playing table tennis for 16 years and likes road biking on weekends.
Jaana Lifländer-Vaks, Application Specialist – Flexible Packaging
Jaana joined Paptic after working in the flexible packaging industry for over 19 years but with plastics. Previously, she collaborated closely with food industry brands managing their current requirements and working on developing new solutions with them.
“Although I spent 19 years with my previous employer, the decision to join Paptic was an easy one. The material itself, the concept, and the company’s vision left a strong impression on me. Shifting towards more sustainable materials and contributing to the fight against plastic pollution felt right for me. The positive atmosphere in the office and the warm, close communication with the team reassured me that joining this team was the right choice. I am confident that bringing my professional knowledge from my previous work will help develop optimal solutions for our customers and build strong customer relations to support our growth.” – Jaana
In her free time, Jaana enjoys spending time with her three children and two cats. On weekends, she goes for long walks in local forests or bogs. While she used to capture nature and children with her camera in the past, she now prefers using her phone. Jaana likes good music, good food, and a good sense of humour. She also enjoys watching historical documentaries and comedies on TV. She tries to catch each Estonian movie in cinemas and has succeeded so far.
